We are excited to announce, Dustin Coufal will be the judge for our Kickoff Show, August 24, 2024, at the Southeastern Livestock Pavillion.
Mr. Coufal grew up in Troy, Texas, where his family operated an agribusiness that serviced central Texas and ran a commercial cattle operation. He was active in 4H and FFA, raising and showing sheep, goats, swine, and livestock judging through 4-H and FFA.
He received a B.S. in Agricultural Economics, an M.S. in Agricultural Education, and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Education from Texas A&M University. He has served as a County Extension Agent in Bell, Washington, Williamson, and Brazos Counties.
Upon graduating from Texas A&M University, Dustin served as a county extension agent in multiple counties and a field representative for Texas Farm Burea. He is currently the general manager for the Extaco Events Center, home of the Heart O' Texas Fair and Rodeo in Waco, Texas.
Dustin, his wife Brigit, and their three children live in Fairfield, TX. The family is involved in and active in showing sheep and goats.
Mr Coufal has judged numerous sheep and goat shows throughout the country on a county, state, and national level. He enjoys working and talking with the youth and is very involved in the youth livestock industry.
